Η δραστικότητα του ελαίου ραγάδων οφείλεται αποκλειστικά στο συνδυασμό των φυτικών και αιθερίων ελαίων από τα οποία αποτελείται. Τα χρησιμοποιούμενα φυτικά έλαια, το καθένα με τις δικές του ιδιότητες, αποτελούν πλούσια φυσική πηγή βιταμινών, μετάλλων, μονο- και πολυακόρεστων λιπαρών οξέων. Η επίδρασή τους στο δέρμα είναι πολλαπλή. Τα λιπαρά οξέα ω3, ω6 και ω9 δρουν αναπλαστικά, απομακρύνοντας τα νεκρά κύτταρα της επιδερμίδας, ενισχύοντας την ανάπλασή της και τη δημιουργία νέων κυττάρων.
